The Shwemawdaw Pagoda or 'Incredible Golden God Pagoda' was worked around 1000 years back and situated in Bago. Myanmar.
It is one of the popular Mon pagodas. The pagoda was worked by 2 traders Taphussa and Bhalita and cherished some hair and teeth relics of the Buddha. It was initially worked to a stature of 23 meters and was reconstructed higher a few times until the point that it at last achieved its present 114 meters in 1954.
It was crushed a few times because of seismic tremors. incorporating one out of 1917 and another in 1930. The upper parts of the pagoda which was fell in 1917 seismic tremor stay at the site.
At 114 meters in stature. the pagoda holds the record for the tallest pagoda in Myanmar. The pagoda celebration happens each year in April. which is the Burmese month of Tagu.
