Yaytagon Taung Golf Course

Bronze Casting can be studied at a place called Tampawadi between Mandalay and Amarapura. Buddha images, bells, gongs, tri gongs, and other figures such as images of the nat (spirit) and of famous persons are cast here.

 info The climate is dry, with high south winds from March until September. The annual rainfall averages about 35 in. The temperature varies between 106 and 70 Fahrenheit. The ordinary crops are millet, sesame, cotton, maize, rice and a great variety of peas and beans. There are no forests, but a great deal of low scrubland.
 
Maha Myat Muni Pagoda
info It is the most revered Buddha image in Mandalay. It is also known as the Maha Myat Muni (မဟာမုနိဘုရားကြီး), or Phaya Gyi.
 
Kyauktawgyi Pagoda
info Kyauktawgyi Pagoda (ကျောက်တော်ကြီးဘုရား) donated by King Mindon in 1853, is located near the southern entry of Mandalay Hill.

info Bargaya Monastery (ဘားဂရာ ကျောင်း) was built in 1834 A.D, during the reign of King Bagyidaw. Being built entirely of teak wood, the monastery has 267 gigantic teak wood posts. The biggest post measuring 60 feet high and 9 feet in circumference. The monastery is a structure of great dimension for it is 188 feet in lenght and 103 feet in breadth.
 
Maha Aung Mye Bon Zan Monastery (Me Nu Oak Kyaung)
info Maha Aung Mye Bon Zan Monastery well known as Me Nu Oak Kyaung or the Brick Monastery was built by Nanmadaw Me Nu, Chief Queen of King Bagyidaw in 1818.
 
The Maha Lawka Marazein Kuthodaw Pagoda
info The Kuthodaw Pagoda (ကုသိုလ်တော်ဘုရား) is situated at about 274.2m from the foot of the Mandalay Hill, to the southeast of the Mandalay Hill. The pagoda was built by King Mindon in M.E 1221. Its height is 57.27m. It was completed along with the construction of three great walls in M.E 1224.
 
Yandanarbo Pot Making Village
Yandabo is a village on the bank of Ayeyarwaddy River in Mandalay Region. It is famous for an Anglo- Myanmar peace treaty that was signed in 1826. It is also a well known place for making pots such as the ones seen in this picture. One person can make 30 to 50 such pots per day which are used for water or food storage. 
 
Gaw Wein Jetty
info Gaw Wein Jetty (ဂေါဝိန်ဆိပ်ကမ်း) is a historical Jetty of ancient Mandalay, used by the British to put an end to the Third Myanmar Empire.
 
Kyauk Myaung
info The small town of Kyauk Myaung (ကျောက်မြောင်း) is located 29km east of Shwe Bo on the western bank of River Ayeyarwaddy. This place is known primarily for its production of glazed pottery, including the large Martaban Jars which were used water containers throughout rural Myanmar.
