New adventure awaits at the Yangon Zoo

info This new adventure activity started on April 26. Since its opening, some 600 people a day have taken a ride on the zip-line during the weekends. The number drops to around 100 people day on weekdays.
The zipline is 167.3 meter in length, suspended by two thick cables that can hold 250 pounds so two people can take the ride simultaneously.
The starting point of tower is 20 meters height and the destination tower is about 17.5 meters in height, which is an equivalent of an eight-storey high building. For veteran adventurers, the height of an eight-storey building is nothing but for aspiring outdoorsmen like me, it is already more than high enough. Once one gets the hang of it — literally – the vista while suspended in the air can be exciting and enjoyable. The feeling of being suspended in the middle of nothingness can be very exhilarating.
The zip-line also passes over a lake, to add the excitement for those riding for the first time. Aside from the zip-line, another adventure called Quick Jump - a freefall from 15m above ground. Although the staff straps ropes to the body of a jumper, the sensation of plunging from a three-storey building can be overwhelming, especially for beginners like me. After a few quick practice jumps from a lower height to get the landing right, one can climb up to the tower and return his way to the ground much more quickly.
monetization_on Entry Fees: K5000 per person during weekdays and K6000 on weekends for lake zip line. Skyline cost K3000 per person.

For safety reasons, only those weighing between 45kg and 111kg are allowed to take the leap.
