Yangon Customs House

info The Customs House (အကောက်ခွန်ဦးစီးဌာန) is located along the Strand Road where most colonial buildings stand today as colonial heritage sites.

This is probably one of the well-preserved British colonial buildings in Yangon. It was inaugurated at the end of 1915 under the command of Customs Collector Sir Nicholas, and it was designed by John Begg, one of the Raj's principal architects. It is still operating with its original objective as a Customs House.
