info This simple but elegant buildings was constructed as the headquarters of the state-run Burma Railways, founded during the British colonial era in 1877.
Now derelict for almost two decades, the structure is currently the centerpiece of a massive development project and is set to become a 5-star hotel on a property that will include tower blocks for office, apartment, and retail space.
