Kyaikkalo Pagoda

info The Kyaikkalo Pagoda (ကျိုက္ကလို့ ဘုရား) was built using laterite bricks with Mon architectural design which can be seen by looking at the octagonal base structure of the pagoda.

It has been venerated and repaired by successive Mon and Burmese kings throughout Myanmar history. In 1385, the Mon King Banyanwe (also known as Yazadarit) restored it. The pagoda is located in Mingaladon Township, Yangon.
