  A 109-year old rare Colonial Era Arts Sun Clock was kept and observable in Tha-hton District and Township Admin Office Campus. Sun Clock was made in 1904 English Colonial Government Era and the Spot where it was kept at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner.

Myanmar snub-nosed monkey

The Myanmar snub-nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus strykeri) is a critically threatened species of colobine monkey discovered in 2010 in northern Burma (Myanmar). It was formally described as a novel species of primate in 2011 based on its fur, beard and tail. A group of the species was discovered in China in 2011.

info  Buddhist scriptures were engraved on 729 white marble tablets and are regarded by Myanmar Buddhists as orthodox texts. Authorized by King Mindon as a result of the Fifth Buddhist Council. the tablets are set up in a square.

Shwethalyaung Buddha

info The Shwethalyaung, a colossal reclining statue of Buddha (181 feet [55 m] long), is to the west of the modern town and is reputedly one of the most lifelike of all the reclining Buddha figures; allegedly built in AD-994, it was lost when Bago (Pegu) was destroyed in 1757 but was rediscovered under a cover of jungle growth in 1881.

Chaukhtatgyi Buddha

info Chaukhtatgyi Buddha is the largest reclining Buddha in the world.

Located on Shwegondine Road. this colossal (70 meters long) reclining Buddha is one of the largest images in Myanmar. The original image was built in 1907. But it has suffered damage due to climate over the years. In 1957 it was demolished and rebuilt to this structure in 1966.

The first Ambassador known in Myanmar history was Shin Ditha Par Mauk. a Buddhist monk. going to the Kublai Khan's palace during the reign of Tarouk Pyay Min (Narasihapatai). Bagan. There still is an inscription stating to that effect.
