The sanctuary was inherent 1535โ€“1536 by King Min Bar to celebrate his success of Bengal. It is situated on the western face of Pokhaung Hill, north of the Royal Palace, and contiguous the Andaw-thein Temple. It is run of the mill of the numerous Buddhist sanctuaries found in Burma: a focal ringer molded stupa, encompassed by four littler stupas at the corners, and a huge number of considerably littler stupas encompassing them.
