Mandalay is the only place to find Gold Leaf making industry. Total of 2000 very thin gold leaves can be obtained from a tickle of 24 karat pure gold after seven hours of pounding in many different steps during the process. This is the industry not being able to replace with modern machine and tourists have very good interest to this industry.

Bagan Flotilla

In 2012 we, a group of travel experts and investors, bought a traditional teak-built ship in Mandalay and refurbished her to fulfil our dreams of traveling the Ayeyarwady River and its tributaries in style. Indevi Lake Boat Co., Ltd.

InDevi means goddess of the lake. In Myanmar “ In” means lake. “Devi” is a word derived from Sanskrit and in India literally means goddess.

We named our company InDevi because we feel like our boats are goddesses of Inle Lake. They are one of a kind, and none other like them.
