info Nyaung Shwe (ညောင်ရွှေ) is a small town at the northern end of the Inlay Lake. There are many major attractions.

Shan Museum - The museum is actually the palace of a Shan chief or sawbwa known as "Sao Shwe Thaike". He was the last Shan sawbwa. The collection of Shan regalia, photos, are displayed. It is a two-storey building and the house is made of teak with ancient carvings.

Yadana Mann Aung Pagoda - This is the oldest pagoda in Nyaung Shwe. The unique step-spired pagoda is an interesting place to visit while you are in town.


Shwe Yaunghew Kyaung - It is an 18th century old monastery which features a vulnerable consecrated hall, with big oval windows.
